On a classic summer day, two sisters discuss life, death, and everything in between.

“Paper Swords” aims to tackle the topic of death from a child’s point of view and bring the audience along as the kids discuss the question of what death is and what happens when we die.

While writing and designing this short, my main goal was to keep the mood and tone of the film curious and inquisitive rather than somber and overly depressing. I really wanted the conversation between the kids to feel real and meaningful.

This is my junior year film made at SVA.
